Charity Crowdfunders
Payment processing fees - These fees are collected by Stripe or PayPal (our payment providers). The fee is commonly 2.9% + 30 cents per transaction for most types of credit/debit cards. The fees are deducted from each donation before it is sent to the charity.
When a donor makes a donation to a Charity Crowdfunder, they immediately receive an email receipt from GivingBlox, with the name of the charity, it's EIN, and the amount donated clearly listed. This receipt is a confirmation of your donation and may be used for tax purposes.
Your credit card statement may show a charge from "GivingBlox", simply because we are the payment intermediate. It does not indicate that your donation was retained by GivingBlox. Your email receipt clearely indicates the charity that you donated to and the actual destination of your donation.
